Pediatric Immunization Schedule

Infants and children need to be immunized against a number of potentially life-threatening illnesses. Below is a general schedule for pediatric immunizations to keep your child healthy. Doctor recommendations can vary based on your child’s specific medical conditions. Discuss your child’s personalized immunization schedule with your doctor.

Note: While the above shots are usually given at 5 years before entering Kindergarten, they can be given anytime between years 4-6.
9 Years Gardisil [Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine protecting against cervical cancer] – offered to girls and young women between ages 9-26 years. This is a three shot series that is given as follows:
First shot given at yearly well-child visit
Second shot given two months after first shot
Third shot given four months after second shot
10 Years Tdap (Tetanus and Pertussis booster shot) – given five years after last DTaP
11 Years Menactra (protects against meningococcus which causes severe meningitis and blood infections)
15 Years Tdap booster
6 Months-18 Years Flu vaccine (optional) if Fall or Winter
