Prior to joining Esse Health, Dr. Adams graduated “”cum laude”” from medical school. She has published articles in medical journals regarding physiology.
At Esse Health, Dr. Adams has been active in leadership roles within the organization. She has served as the Physician in Charge (PIC) of the Florissant Office for 15 years and served as the Director of PICs for 8 years. She serves as the Champion for Esse Health’s Congestive Heart Failure Program and has worked on Peer Review and various aspects of information technology implementation.
Dr. Adams has been voted a Best Doctor of 2017 – 2018
Dr. Adams has been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association for patient care in Diabetes. NCQA, in partnership with the American Diabetes Association, developed the Diabetes Recognition Program to recognize clinicians who have met standards demonstrating delivery of high quality care to patients with diabetes.
Dr. Adams has been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality and Assurance (NCAQ) and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for patient care in heart disease and/or stroke. NCQA, in partnership with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, developed the Heart/Stroke Recognition Program to recognize clinicians who have met standards demonstrating delivery of high quality care to patients with cardiovascular disease and/or stroke.
Dr. Adams is married to an Esse Health pediatrician. They have three children. She has an ongoing active role at John Burroughs school as a parent, and she is a past member of the Board of Directors at Rossman School, past President of the Parents Organization at Rossman School.
She is also an avid reader and enjoys hiking, gardening, and traveling.
