How can I get my prescription filled?
Your pharmacy should call or fax a request for prescription refills. If you call our office for a refill, we will need:

  • Patient name, date of birth, and name of physician
  • Name and strength of the medication
  • Name and phone number of pharmacy

Why can't I get my prescription immediately?
Your medical chart is pulled for the physician to review. The physician reviews these requests throughout the day and determines the best course of action for you. Sometimes a follow-up visit is necessary before your prescription medication can be approved.

Why do I have to wait so long to see my doctor for a physical?
Each doctor schedules several physicals a day. Physicals involve several procedures and require more time than other visits. Always schedule as far in advance as possible.

Why do I have to show my insurance card at every visit?
Employers frequently change insurance carriers. Even Medicare patients now have the option to change their coverage to an HMO. Many insurance companies will not pay claims that are not filed in a timely manner. Therefore, it is imperative that we verify and update your coverage each time you come in.

Why didn't my doctor call me back when I left a message at the emergency number?
The doctors rotate who is on call each evening and weekend. The physician who returns your call is qualified to assess your needs and will inform your physician on what action was taken.
